Soak Time — How Long Do You Soak?

Pool and Spa Forum posted a poll they conducted asking how long hot tub owners sit in their tub.  The average seems to be about 30 minutes.  How long do you like to stay in your hot tub?

For most people the amount of time they spend in their hot tub depends on the temperature.  The general rule is the higher the temperature the shorter your soak should be.  ThermoSpas recommends that the temperature of your spa be no lower than 80 degrees and no higher than 104 degrees.

I’ve heard of people who have soaked for hours on end…some ThermoSpas owners even love to watch football games in their hot tub!  At the same time some people only like to spend a few minutes in their hot tub, it really depends on the individual.  But it’s always important to remember that pregnant women, children, and individuals with health issues should consult their doctor because elevated water temperatures can be harmful to them.

My normal soak time is 30 to 40 minutes sometimes longer if my family is in with me. We have the best conversations in our hottub about all kinds of things and with a teenage daughter it’s fantastic
