As the weather starts getting a little cooler I can’t think of a better reason to use your hot tub. Take advantage of one of the best seasons of the year, combine the crisp air with the bubbling warm waters, for a Fall Hot Tub Party!!
The weekends almost here so why not start planning a romantic evening under the stars or maybe invite a bunch of friends over for a soothing dip before or after the big game on Sunday. Here are a few things to consider for your party:
- Save the cocktails for after, unfortunately alcohol effects you much more quickly in a hot tub and the effects can be felt for much longer. Why not try a mocktail, a fake cocktail that tastes delish, my favorite is equal parts soda water to pomegranate juice garnished with a cherry or a lime.
- Avoid glass around the hot tub opt for plastic cups and serving platters.
- Finger food! Serve finger food that is easily accessible and won’t make a mess or become soggy such as:
– Cut up vegetables with dip
– Cheese and crackers
- Fruit platter
- Anything on a stick — chicken, veggies, fruit, or a combination of all of these.
- Have extra swimsuits and towels available for your guests and suggest that they rinse off before entering the tub to avoid excess oils and chemicals getting into the tub.
- Check water balance before the party to make sure the water is clean and clear.
- Create a playlist for your MP3 player that fits the mood for your party – whether it be romantic songs, dance favorites, or some high energy hits to get pumped up for the football game the right music will create the right mood.
- Most of all relax, enjoy the weekend and have fun with your guests!
